I normally train that distance with only 1 gel too, my thinking being that on race day when I take 2 it's like giving my body an extra treat to make it go faster. :)

11:19, 10:55, 10:08, 9:49, 10:49. nice 5 miler after cruise return. felt strong. nice and efficient pace, breathing was good. able to hold conversation while running.

Solid run sir. I had a "I don't care what pace I run today" run as well and just busted out a good run. Those are really refreshing to do. Run for fun!
