  1. RUN
    Jacksonville, FL Hotel 4.25 mi

Drove back to Jacksonville late afternoon. Once I checked in I had some daylight left, so I drove to the beach and walked for just a little while. I headed to an historic downtown area, but all the... read more

I go through phases like this too. It's important to remember that it's just a phase!!! Take a little break if need be, no worries :-) The mojo always returns. Enjoy Jax!

Nice work pushing through and getting the work done. I'm very impressed (and slightly jealous) by your ability to do this :) You'll find your mo-jo again soon, I'm sure!

Spinning Away in FL 20 mi 01:16 15.9mph pace

Decided to take a break and spin tonight - maybe it'll help with the funk (although as of this post, not really). It was a good sweatfest - varied the resistance to keep things interesting. Ha... read more

Didn't get this one in until after 10:00 pm. A busy day of working in the yard and playing baseball and volleyball with the kids left me pretty beat. It wasn't a good run; again, my breat... read more

Way to push through a blah run. I noticed with my HR training - when it is hotter my heart rate can get up faster. Slow your pace & try to enjoy your run. I hate the funk - I've had it! I am sure Trudy missed you - even if you didn't miss her. lol Vader is getting dusty - I will probably jump on him one of the rainy days ahead!

Thanks, everyone! The funk continues. I'm sure it's just a mental thing; maybe a couple days off will help. I appreciate your kind words and support!

Thanks, everyone! I know you've all been there and "get it"! @ Bestself, I'm fine, think I'm just in some little funk. The past week has been kind of funky-ish, and as I look back at this one, I really didn't run it very smart. Oh well. It happens. I'm still moving!

Thanks, everyone! @HBB - you are too sweet! Tom met with a pulmonologist. He also has problems with his lungs. They had him walk on a TM at 1.5 miles an hour for 6 minutes. He couldn't do it, and had to be administered oxygen. He meets with the surgeon on Tuesday to find out what's next. @Bill - yes, I do keep an eye on my cholesterol(s) and blood pressure. Both good; I've been told a few times I should have a stress test done. THAT I've been putting off. Maybe it's that time...

I believe it! When we had our house built the contractor said he would not recommend building on our lot cause it was hilly. We had already purchased the land so I was ticked off at his comment and finally said "have you ever been to Kentucky? People build their house IN the hill. Figure out a way to get this house on this lot.". He did.
