  1. RUN
good SAS Umstead Bridle Figure 8 16.2 mi 03:03 11:18 pace

Last run before Umstead Marathon. If I could figure out how to get my Strava app to sync with DailyMile, that would be awesome. For now, manual entry it is.

  2. RUN
    good SAS Doctor G. Out-n-back 3.08 mi 00:31 10:08 pace

Didn't feel awesome during the run, but afterwards, the knee was feeling pretty good.

Thanks, Bob! Feels good to be putting a handful of miles in again, even if it isn't totally pain free.

  3. RUN
good Umstead Company Mill - Sycamo... 9.7 mi 01:45 10:49 pace

Longest trail run since last October (and the foot injury). Happy to have finished it with very little pain.

  4. RUN
good Umstead Company Mill Trail 6.28 mi 01:11 11:15 pace

Beautiful day in Umstead. Not a horsefly in sight! I ran shirtless, so that may have had something to do with scaring away the horseflies.

  5. RUN
good Jon's SAS Blackcreek Greenway... 6.46 mi 01:06 10:13 pace

    Easy breezy.

  6. RUN
alright SAS Blackcreek Greenway Super... 4.23 mi 00:38 09:04 pace

Thunderbolt and lightning - very very frightening me
    Gallileo, Gallileo,
    Gallileo, Gallileo,
    Gallileo Figaro - magnifico

  7. RUN
alright Third Fork Creek Greenway Hea... 3.19 mi 00:33 10:27 pace

    Double trouble popped my bubble.

    Nice cool day.

  9. RUN
good Third Fork Creek Greenway Hea... 3.19 mi 00:33 10:24 pace

Warm slow run with my oldest son, Ryan. Rescued a baby turtle on the trail, too!

Thanks, Bob! Been a long road to recovery with the foot and the knee, but I'm hoping for a happy and injury free Summer.

I'm hoping to be right by early summer because I'm signed up for the NYC Marathon in November (finally got through the lottery process). We'll see how that goes.

A yellow haze swimming PR. :-)

  15. RUN
alright SAS Blackcreek Greenway Super... 4.23 mi 00:48 11:20 pace

Knee was bit cranky towards the end. Foot was generally OK. On the slow road to recovery I hope.

  16. RUN
good Umstead Company Mill to Reedy... 4.4 mi 00:48 10:51 pace

Short side of Company Mill, followed by Corkscrew and Spillway hills. Fun fun fun!

  17. RUN
alright Umstead - Turkey Flavored Lol... 9.59 mi 01:40 10:25 pace

Welcome Summer! And salt crusted skin. And dehydration. And dizziness.

  18. RUN
good SAS Blackcreek Greenway Super... 4.23 mi 00:41 09:36 pace

Spring put a spring in my step. Well, if you consider 9:36 pace to be springy.

  19. RUN
good Umstead - Turkey Flavored Lol... 9.59 mi 01:45 10:56 pace

Nice and easy. Foot was cranky towards the end, but not terrible. Gorgeous day out there, probably the last real Winter run of the year around here.

Thanks, David. I'm hoping to "run" the Medoc Spring Race in a week. Every long run and a race is a test, so I'm only planning one race at a time. But I do hope I'm really on the road to recovery. And I hope to see you at some Summer races as well!
