11 hours and 33 minutes on the bike this week. Very pleased with that. Nice ride, but bonked towards the end of the ride. Forgot to carry the sandwich which Shal had made for me.

Fantastic ride. Consistently in zone 2, and I did 52 km in the drops. Pretty happy with that considering that I was not on this bike for a long time.

Still on base right? How does it feel?

Yup. At least finding a 3 hour ride very comfortable, and this was not how I felt in Thailand. Tomorrow I'll go on the road bike, if I get some time today to put my regular cassette back. It's all in a state of disarray now. Sunday onwards, I should be back to 100km rides.

Started base and back after 5... 45 km 02:00 14.0mph pace
Going to stick to controlled base rides for 6 weeks.
-
Isnt it quite slow for a base ride on your carbon given so many Alu-roadies do 27-30kph in "base"?

Starting base for the new year. Just spinning and enjoying the great weather. Started at 8:45am and it was 15C, finished 2 hours later, and it was only 17C or so.

Doc, is this on the new BF? BTW your BZ thread on the custom build was very informative. It really got me looking at folding bikes in a new light!

Yup, on the BF. Thanks. Yes, folding bikes are great for those who travel a bit. Pretty solid bike too, even if I get out of the saddle and hammer, to the extent that I can 'hammer'.

Hanging on with the boys is leading to a lot of high intensity rides. Planning to start genuine base rides as soon as TFN starts. So, 15th Dec to maybe end Jan will be pure base rides, and serious ... read more

The folding bike though... how do you explain the folding bike? When I heard about it, I thought he was retiring from roaditude, but now he announces training plans.

Super ride. Met lots of guys and ate crappy Maggi. Hari gave a good tip to spice up Maggi - Avvakai. My daughter and I like both, so lets see what she says of the combo.

Nice Job:
WTG! I love the Avakkai Maggi idea. I usually spice up my maggi by adding sambar powder, but I guess that's not an option when you buy it off the stall.

That's more than 2/3rds on drops. Super! I was trying something like that today. Got to try that on the Lemond this weekend.
