Oh man - avoid the heel (hell) strike at all costs! That is the cause of many running injuries. If the forefoot feels uncomfortable, even mid-heel is fine. Landing on your heel sends all sorts of trauma and impact in your foot mechanisms that cause the machinery in there to break down.

When running hills, lean forward a little, but always remember to relax your shoulders, and keep your core strong. This will enable you to do a mid- to fore-foot strike even more naturally and comfortably.

I would suggest adding the midfoot strikes at the end of your runs and increasing it a little at a time...I had a hard time doing this too and I hurt myself because I didn't do this the right way...
