good Last run before Shamrock Half 4.5 mi

Took it easy and slow. It is funny when easy doesn't really feel easy and then you wonder how you manage to do race pace and have it not feel too hard. It always seems to work out race day. Well almost always. I had one lousy race in 2009 with dead legs and poor tolerance of the sudden heat wave that day. I am hoping for the best come Sunday. I pray my right hamstring pain doesn't get me off pace. I pray I can keep up with my friends and at least stay with them as long as possible. I pray I do at least as well as last year and if I PR I will be happy but in the end I will do my best for that day. I leave Saturday morning. I work tomorrow. I have slept in a lot this week and rested when I was home. I had an extra unplanned day off because I wasn't needed. I hope the extra rest helps. I am sure I won't sleep great the night before the race. We are getting a nice weekend away and spending a lot of time with our running friends also doing the race. This seems to be an annual trip for us and much of this group with new people coming and others deciding to opt out and do National Marathon and Half instead. So I am not running again till Sunday morning. I should have rested legs. I have the training. I think I can manage my tempo pace for this race. Not sure if I can do any better but that would make me happy with myself. We will see what happens. I will have a great weekend with my husband and good friends and a little 13.1 mile run come Sunday at 7am.

    At first it said 45 miles not 4.5. I surely didn't burn 4042 calories. I don't even think I burned 500.
