First run since marathon. I had a lot of pain on outside of right knee, so I did a wealk/run for last half mile. Not sure why the pain.

Not experienced enough to comment on marathon running David but I know after my half I had different pains for about 3 weeks!! I think you're doing the right thing by taking it slow and easy :)

I experienced same. Varied weight training seemed to eliminate it over time.

the marathon puts a lot of stress and trauma on your muscles and joints. take your time come back in order to keep from getting injured. luckily, you have all the daily mile friends for support. it can sometimes be hard mentally (or even slightly depressing) to go from running so much to so little. so even if you're not running, stay involved with daily mile. i've found that motivating others can be very therapeutic too.

Pain on the outside of your knee could mean you need to stretch your IT band. Take it slow coming back - it can be frustrating that your body isn't ready to jump right back into things, but you will be thankful in the end!

Probably some muscle tightness. It can throw everything off kilter.
