I returned from my 4-day vacation to find my dog had injured his paw at the kennel. After a trip to the vet in the morning and some antibiotics for his broken nail, I am slowly bringing him back t... read more

After it is all over, the numbers are there. Whether it was good or not doesn't seem as important as keeping up the numbers.

Not too sure I agree David - what happened to "listen to your body"? I think it's just as important to know WHY it was good or not and then to decide if it matters or not.

You are probably right, Des. For me it was not enough sleep the last two nights. I was tired and didn't want to do it, but I have a dog that insists on it!

I don't want to encourage you to not listen to your body. OTOH, I'm sure your dog appreciated the outing, and I care about keeping my record consistent, too.

  4. RUN
good with dog 3.14 mi 00:37 11:55 pace

I love these summer mornings. The dog gets great exercise, the sun is rising, and the whole world is just waking up.

  5. After I finished the 5K this morning, I went back to the finish line to cheer on other racers.

I realized that this may be the only place where I can applaud women and tell them that they are 'Loo... read more

Yeah, may not want to try that in a bar... but, hell who knows it might end up being well received there too. haha

So sorry I missed you today. Apparently 5:30 is too early for me to wake up. I need some time to get up, make coffee and come to life before I head out the door and I guess at 5:30 when Rob turned the alarm off I didn't put up much of a fight. Sorry to let you down. Maybe 6:30 is a little more realistic for me. I can get up at 6am and be out the door by 6:15-6:20. Any earlier than that is tough for me.

I totally understand. Believe me, if the wet nose of an excited puppy wasn't in my face at 5:30, i would have trouble too! I know you're busy next week, we'll try again soon!

Good luck on your 5k David. Since you've been mentioning your dog, I've been trying to think of the races that let you run with your dog... I know there out there.

  12. I am at the dog park this morning watching my dog run/sniff, run/sniff, run/sniff! We will still put in good walks today, but we both needed a rest day.

I want to slow down for a rest day before the 5K on Sunday. I don't think it is going to happen. This guy wants to go, go, go!

  15. walk
good with the dog! 4.28 mi 01:10 16:16 pace

I don't know what we are going to do when it gets hotter. I will probably take a nap when I get home from work and then walk the dog in the latter part of the evening. Happy first day of summer!
