Stayed up late (about 1am), having been working 'til 10pm then watching Friday Night Smackdown. Had a wasabi peas hangover, and ate breakfast - M&S apple+cinnamon crunch is officially the nicest cereal in the world - washed down with a glass of Diet Coke, not 3 minutes before leaving the house. Having dreamt about throwing up, I did wonder if I was going to make my dreams come true, but luckily I didn't. Jesus, my first km was 5:25 or something. Anyway, there were 3 unscheduled stops: attempting to leave a park by a padlocked gate, stopping to pick up the contents of my pocket after my keys successfully made a break for freedom, with my money and wallet joining in the escape, and because I didn't quite beat the train to Hampton Court, instead having to stop (albeit briefly) at the level crossing. Making the parkrun starting line with 7 minutes to spare would probably have been even better if I'd used the time to stretch, breathe, and generally prepare for the run itself rather than just stand there tweeting and reading email. Ah well.
