Quite pleased with this effort especially since it felt quite slow. 4x 500: 7:09; 7:14, 7:08; 6:56.

    alright 8.75 mi 01:06 07:33 pace

Had some calf twinges that were reminiscent of last year's problems. Granted if not for last year I would have ignored them thinking they were just soreness but I decided to slow down and jus... read more

A little jog with some new friends as one set a new 13.1 PR the day after running 17 miles. Dang.

    good 14 mi 00:39 21.3mph pace

Really wanted to average 25 mph, which I did for the first half but on the back half the wind got to me. I was happy to hear a plethora of cyclists talking about how much it slowed them down as well.

  6. swim
    good 500 m 00:07:25 23:52 pace

Swim leg of Stayton Sprint Tri.
Pleased. Works out to roughly 1:22 per 100 yards. I thought the swim was in yards and was crushed when I saw my time. Then I found out even though I had to swim aro... read more

    alright 8.75 mi 01:07 07:36 pace

A little better than yesterday. There are pros and cons of running the same course frequently and both have to do wit how you can compare your times. If you realize that there can be wide discrepa... read more

That reminds me. My Garmin 610 that I bought a few years ago lets you race against your previous time on the same route. One of the reasons I bought the watch. I have never used this feature though since I bought it. Nice run by the way.

So true! I have gone back in my Garmin records to see how I was last year, pre-injury. A bit disheartening and motivating, at the same time.

  8. RUN
    alright 8.75 mi 01:07 07:41 pace

Decent clip. I felt tired for the run so I guess I am pleased with the end time.

    2000 yd 00:30 26:15 pace

If Daily Mile had a "tuckered out" button I would push it. Although after drifting through the first three 500s like wood, I am pleased with my sub7 last 500.

  14. RUN
    tired 8.75 mi 01:07 07:35 pace

Not the usual distance of my recovery run but if you saw the weather in Portland today you would understand why.

  15. RUN
good Long Branch Half Marathon 13.1 mi 01:29 06:49 pace

I'd be a bit surprised if the course doesn't measure a bit long but I was nonetheless pleased with my time.
