I played dodgeball with a coworker this afternoon. After I got home from the game I thought I'd get a little more exercise in before showering.

good 13.82 mi 00:58 14.4mph pace
My first cycling workout! I borrowed a bike from a friend. It's been a really long time since I've ridden a bike, so it took me about 15-20 minutes to get comfortable. After that, it was great. I f... read more

RUN
good Yasso 800s 12.7 mi 01:40 07:53 pace
Still trying to determine if I'm capable of running a 3:35 or 3:30 marathon, so I thought I would try Yasso 800s. I ran 12 of them with 400m recoveries. I didn't have any trouble with this workout.... read more

RUN
good 24.05 mi 03:29 08:41 pace
Really happy that I covered this distance. I'm no longer worried about finishing my first marathon (Cleveland on 5/16), but I need to figure out what pace I'm going to run.

Wow...I'd say so...if you can do 24, you can definitely make it to 26.2 on race day. Awesome training run today!

Wow, that's quite a training run Dan, certainly look like you are set for the marathon, even though I know you still have another 20+ miler to go. Maybe you can use that one to figure out your pace, and shoot for progressive splits on the run.

RUN
alright 16.06 mi 02:19 08:39 pace
Great weather for a long run, except for occasional gusts of _really_ strong wind. I wanted to go longer, but didn't have it in me today. Hoping to get 2 20+ mile runs in before Cleveland.

I have actually not done Cleveland yet despite having lived here my whole life (Chicago '01 was my first), looking forward to finally doing the local race. But it won't compare to the Chicago experience.

I have also been serious thinking about getting a bike just to do something other then running. Great idea!

Nice bike ride! I believe I once read how cycling helps align our knees back in place after running; something along those lines.
