  1. FIT
    good Kettlebells 01:00

A very Rob H. style morning. Coffee and pushing around iron. Focus on hips, hamstrings, and core. Feeling refreshed!

  2. RUN
alright Carvins Cove 15.2 mi 03:03 12:02 pace

Tough one around the lower trails in the cove. IT band wanted to fight from start to finish, but kept it in check reasonably well. Had my camelbak with me and apparently I forgot that water tends... read more

That's one big ice cube. Good solid run in the cold, with a funky ITB,and after 10 yesterday. Not bad at all.

  3. RUN
    good 10 mi 01:43 10:16 pace

Nice cool morning around the neighborhood, about 39 degrees. Man I'm glad I'm not in OH or MI today, brrrrrrr. Some actual cold weather will be here tomorrow though! ITB fussed a little bit when... read more

  4. RUN
    good 4.4 mi 01:01 13:51 pace

Laps around the park in socks and sandals, brrrr! Stopped at each lap and did some chinese squats (close stance, butt to heels), pullups, and dips. I wanted to test the ITB with slow pacing and i... read more

  5. FIT
    good Kettlebells 00:13:00

Skipped running this morning, still feeling a bit of this virus. After Jocelyn A.'s KB workout and my only co-worker asking me about KBs, I had pood on the brain though. Had to do something activ... read more

  6. RUN
    alright 4.48 mi 00:43 09:36 pace

I knew my stomach was going to give me problems, everyone at home is sick so it's my turn now. Figured I'd give it a shot anyway. Felt great for 4, then it went downhill very quickly. Hope it pa... read more

  7. FIT
good Mobility Work - 40 min

A little hip and lower leg TLC. Maxwell's hip mobility series DVD. Then some ankle strength stuff with a band. X-band walks and clam shells.

  8. RUN
good River Greenway 17.15 mi 03:10 11:05 pace

Long easy one along the river. The ITB was giving me a whole lot of trouble the first 6 miles, I thought about bagging the run a few times. Stuck with it though and tried focusing on a few small ... read more

Awesome! I like reading about how sometimes our little injuries are due to biomechanics. Lately I have been using the lean slightly forward, shorten stride, increase cadence method useful for laid back runners who have calf / Achilles issues...

Open mat. Felt strong and mobile.

  10. FIT
good Crescent Heights Hill 0.6 mi 00:19 32:06 pace

This was interesting. A whole new kind of pain. It's a .15 mile stretch of land up a hillside near home that is cleared of trees for an underground petroleum line. It's 240' gain in .15 miles, s... read more

  11. RUN
    good 5.2 mi 00:49 09:19 pace

    Winter came back! Stupid groundhog.

  12. RUN
    alright 4.12 mi 00:42 10:09 pace

Decreased my coffee intake by about 60%. Ouch. Could not get moving today, probably should have tapered down more gradually. Predawn without enough coffee is a bitch.

  13. RUN
    good 5.46 mi 00:54 09:52 pace

No problems today. Still going to keep things flat for a while and try not to aggravate the band while ramping up mileage.

  14. RUN
    good 4.07 mi 00:40 09:49 pace

Big improvement with the ITB today. Thanks for all of the suggestions!
