It's been a long time since I was on Dailymile and it's been a long time since bagged any runs. A bunch of crazy shit happened in that time, but I am back to running and back on DM.

RUN
Today's morning run 6.53 mi
Making it two days in a row for me now. I was still a bit sore from yesterday's run, but I still ran 10k+. The wound from my fistulotomy bothered me a bit towards the end. Still made it though.

Excellent start to the comeback. Now rest up the butt for a day!

I'm back......Finally! 14.4 mi
I struggled through it, but that really doesn't matter. After everything that has sidelined me the last 7-8 months I finally felt comfortable running further then a mile or two.

#dailymission What should be a rule for locker room etiquette? Screw gyms. I would rather be outside running, biking, or doing something stupid.

Gyms are great if they are free, but I agree. There are alternative exercises to EVERYTHING you can do in a gym that can be done outside or in your own home.

good A spur of the moment roadtrip... 12 mi 05:00 25:00 pace
Long back story to all this. Basically a lot of things have not been working in my favor the past 3 or 4 months. A couple of slight relapses from my Crohn's, work being a pain in the ass all... read more

HOW COOL!! My grandfather lived on Little Deer Lake (i know, a house, on a lake, in Minnesota? IMAGINE THE ODDS!) on North Portage Trail. Now my Uncle lives there. I have very fond memories of grabbing a beer with my dad and grandfather and sitting on the porch watching the mosquitoes get zapped :)

House on a lake in Minnesota?!!? Never heard! For awhile I spent a lot of time driving all around that area fixing TV's and Electronics. For some strange reason I spent a lot of time just north of their in Bigfork doing repair work.

#dailymission On average, how many hours of sleep do you get each night? How does this effect your sport? 4 or 5 hours. For as long as I can remember I have always slept so few hours a night, so ... read more

You must be so productive, Justen! I only wish I could get by on 4-5 hours of sleep. If I didn't set an alarm I would probably sleep 10 solid and uninterrupted hours a day. :)

I don't know if I would say I am productive by any means! I am sure I could be doing a lot more with my time. I wish I was able to sleep more then I do. The only time I really pass out for 8-9hrs straight is if I take a couple of Melatonin and Advil PM's with some chamomile tea.

RUN
good Miltona Outpost and back x2.. 4.76 mi 00:44 09:14 pace
Slowish and easy early morning run before work. Felt great, except I know I'll be regretting my decision to get up at 4:30am midway through the work day.
