3 x 800 4 mi 00:42 10:25 pace

I'm a couple days behind on my runs, so this was originally a weekender, but my 4 miles were supposed to include 3 800's with 400-meter recoveries (and a mile warm/cool on either end of the speed intervals).

Goal pace was 8:38
1st 800 - 8:15 pace
2nd 800 - 8:33 pace
3rd interval ended up only being .3 miles instead of .5 as I had some tightness in my back. I walked/jogged for a few minutes and stretched it out and then made myself run the last .2 miles of the 3rd interval. Trouble was, it was on a gradual uphill grade as well as into the teeth of some pretty good wind gusts.

It was run at a 7:47 pace, my best interval of the day.
