  1. RUN
good 10 miles Waikiki and Diamond ... 10 mi

Overall was a decent run but it was hot since I got started later than I was hoping to. Only bummer is that my long dormant plantar fasciitis seems to be making a reappearance :-/

  2. RUN
    good 9 miles 9.01 mi 01:42 11:18 pace

Feels like I've gone backwards this week. Run felt good and fine for 9 miles but heart rate was up and pace was slow. Then again, it's hot and humid again. Average HR 143

  3. RUN
blah 5.4 miles in Chicago along th... 5.4 mi 01:04 11:51 pace

Not a great run at all. Probably because it was hot and humid, I was tired and dehydrated and we just flew into Chicago but still. I had to slow down considerably so that my heart rate wouldn'... read more

haha. Just trying to be conscious and run slooooow. When I would get above 145, I would pull back and walk if I had to to get my HR back down. And yoga breathing :-)

  7. RUN
    good 4 miles 4.02 mi 00:40 09:53 pace

Really good comfortable run. Felt great even after yesterday's longish run and I was able to sustain a faster pace at the same heart rate - some progress!

  8. RUN
    good 8 miles 8.01 mi 01:27 10:54 pace

Slow, comfortable low-heart rate run. Longest I've run in a while. More humid than I was expecting it to be but felt great during the run. I guess running at a slow steady pace has its benefits?!

  9. RUN
    good 4 miles 4.19 mi 00:46 10:55 pace

Easy run to loosen the legs and loosen the DOMS. Trying to stick with running at a low-heart rate (average 143 BPM). My pace will eventually go back down, right? :-)

  10. RUN
    good Easy 5 mile shake-out 5.01 mi 00:55 10:59 pace

Legs still feel pretty stiff and sore from Saturday night's walk. Felt much easier to stay at a low heart rate and my legs felt fine while running. Average heart rate 140 BPM.

  11. walk

  12. RUN
    great 5 easy miles 5 mi 00:55 10:55 pace

This low heart rate training thing takes a lot of discipline to slow down!! Felt so slow. But on a positive note, I had no trouble breathing. Average HR 146

I tried that for most of last summer, and I agree, it was hard to keep the rate low, especially if it's warm out. Nice workout!

  13. RUN
    good 6 miles 6 mi 00:57 09:32 pace

Maybe the humidity dropped a tad or the slight breeze helped or I'm finally getting used to the heat but had a good run this morning. Just wanted to take it slow and easy and not feel labored.... read more

  14. RUN
