Post Run Yoga
00:23
Did the Hips, Knees, Ankles & Feet series at 1.2x speed (to save a little time and not be late for dinner). Felt so awesome to stretch after a nice run. I'll be ready for a long(ish) one tomorrow but it's a mini-taper weekend before my 10-miler so I won't overdo it!

I've been looking for a runner's yoga routine. Where did you find yours?

Meg, I have a DVD called Yoga for Every Body with JJ Gormley. It is about 35 different routines from beginning to advanced, every length from 20 min to 75 min. Wonderful variety and good choices for runners. Only $15 at Amazon: Permalink: http://amzn.com/B00006RCNF

Great way of reminding yourself to resist the temptation in overdoing things :) Not always easy.

so glad you got the yoga in as well! Would love to know what poses are in the hips, knees, anles and feet series. Maybe I can add a few that you recommend.

Linda, there are some nice poses: a lunge series where you move your hips side to side; trikonasana, side angle pose, a series of rolling the ankles & feet around, and also some downward dog. It's a favorite post-run yoga session.

Thanks Cristy! Yes, these are great. I do lunges, downward dog and the side angle poses. Will have to check out the ankle and feet rolls! Sounds perfect!
