  1. greatLunch break TM + core 2.5 mi / 00:24 09:33 pace

Felt really good. Was planning to do a "recovery" run but had enough energy for some TM games (mixing up speeds, etc) and tomorrow have a planned day off running so decided to work short but with intensity.

  2. greatAF TM Intervals 2 mi / 00:19 09:30 pace

First half mile warm-up in 5:05. Then 6 repeats of 0.1 mi fast/0.1 slow starting at 6.6mph and ending at 7.2 mph. That felt great! Used my Nike Frees to focus on form.

  3. goodWarm-up Elliptical 1 mi / 00:10:00

Felt this in my quads but I want to do less "pounding" this week during my taper so I'm substituting some elliptical.

  4. greatNurturing Yoga class 00:55

This could be the best hour of my week, but certainly it's the best hour of Monday, no contest.

  5. goodRiver route to 35E 6.2 mi / 01:01 09:48 pace

It was wet & muddy but no ice sheets this time so I got to run the whole distance outside and it was a pretty warm day: 40F. Felt good, kept a consistent pace for most of the run, a little slow in mile 4 when I climbed a big hill. Managed to increa... read more

  6. greatPost Run Yoga 00:23

Did the Hips, Knees, Ankles & Feet series at 1.2x speed (to save a little time and not be late for dinner). Felt so awesome to stretch after a nice run. I'll be ready for a long(ish) one tomorrow but it's a mini-taper weekend before my 10-miler so ... read more

I've been looking for a runner's yoga routine. Where did you find yours?

Linda, there are some nice poses: a lunge series where you move your hips side to side; trikonasana, side angle pose, a series of rolling the ankles & feet around, and also some downward dog. It's a favorite post-run yoga session.

Thanks Cristy! Yes, these are great. I do lunges, downward dog and the side angle poses. Will have to check out the ankle and feet rolls! Sounds perfect!

  7. greatAF TM 1/8 of a marathon 3.3 mi / 00:32 09:41 pace

Putting "marathon" in the title, even when it's a fraction, makes it seem more significant. ;-)

Felt great, but had hoped to make it longer. Will have to save the 6 miler for tomorrow, when I won't have to spend 5 hours helping gather dele... read more

  8. greatPre bed-time Yoga 00:25

Did a flow series from Yoga for Every Body DVD. Really nice way to relax after a stressful day and slept well after that.

  9. greatGood Day Sunshine Run 3.2 mi / 00:31 09:36 pace

How can anyone NOT feel great today in the Twin Cities? The sun is shining, my boss is working from home (thus leaving me free to get my work done without interruption) and tomorrow is Friday!

  10. greatYoga 00:23

Did the Open & Strong Heart series this morning to get myself prepared for another busy day. Will try to squeeze in a run after work but this felt like a nice, energizing practice to start the day.
