800 repeats today. I probably recovered too much in my recovery - and I missed my target in the last two repeats - but I'm thankful for no knee pain and that HM training has officially begun!

Good lunch time run - with no pain! First time in I don't know how long my knees didn't hurt even a little while running. Is it the new shoes, the glucosamine or the extended rest? I have no clu... read more

RUN
great 3.18 mi 00:31 09:39 pace
Overall a good run. There was a wicked headwind - which because of my route of choice most of the return was tailwind. I was able to get a sub 9 mm for the first time since I don't know when - and ... read more

RUN
good 2.15 mi 00:21 09:34 pace
First run in the new shoes. First few steps the knees hurt pretty bad. After about a qtr mile the pain went away. I only went a short distance, but I tried to run fast. I'll have to get better/... read more

Since you have been injured maybe you shouldn't try for fast but complete the distance you are trying to cover.
I hope you feel better soon.14 days ago • Like

Really wanted a sub 9 - but started out too slow. Had the incline on the treadmill up the whole time. I did have 3 minutes of cooldown, but not including that in the workout.

RUN
alright 3.15 mi 00:34 10:46 pace
Wow. Disappointing run. Ran easy - took walk breaks and in the last mile and a half I started doing "strides" - 30 strides with recovery - then switched to 20 - then pickup pace for 20 ... read more

That dog is going to get me back into shape yet. She does not like to run at a 10 mm pace. I did an easy 2 miles at a sub 10 pace and then a type of fartlek workout - but not too strenuous. I ha... read more

blah 3.54 mi 00:40 11:11 pace
Took Daisy for a run. My tooth bothered me so it was not a good run. Did a warmup mile, then fartleks for a mile and a cool down. Hope I can get over this soon. Knees ached some soon.

This is my run. There are many runs like it, but this one is mine....complete with a negative split. ;) Goal was sub 9:00 first mile and and 8:30 second mile. Almost made it with 8:56 and 8:34.

RUN
2.06 mi 00:18 08:55 pace
Wanted to go a little longer, but Daisy "escaped" and went with me so I only went 2. I really wanted the second mile to be faster. I thought I pushed harder - obviously I didn't.

Duane
