Running does get easier, but be weary of too much too soon! I know it's so exciting to be able to just run, but don't push it. It's so easy to get injured (take in my case), but remember to rest if you're in pain!

Can't wait to hear how 20 minutes goes....when Kasey did hers, she was doubtful....but she did it! She only has 5 training days left of the C25K! Woohoo!

Awesome. Can't believe she's almost done!
Yesterday was my first day with the two 8 minute runs and I would never have believed that it wasn't really any harder than a 5 minute run. Rob's going with me for moral support, though. Positive vibes my way are VERY MUCH appreciated.

    good C2K5 Week 4 Day 2 2.25 mi 00:33 14:39 pace

I don't know if you'll be ready or not, but Kasey and I are registering for the St. Patrick's Day run which takes place on March 13th. It's a 5K down Peoria. It starts at about 43rd, goes to 29th, and turns around. You should do it...that's little less than a month, and hell, if you have to walk part of it, so be it! Set a goal race!...oh and in April, I'm running another 10K in Stillwater--through campus...it's honoring the 10 who died in the plane crash....they offer a 5K too....look in to it!

If I stay on track with my C25K, I'll have finished Week Seven by that time, so 25 minutes of running at a time. I added it to my calendar and I'll definitely go for it, as long as my program stays on track and I keep making forward progress. Would love to run it! Fingers crossed.

I'm foregoing my C25K this week (Week Four) due to mild shin splints. Rob has been using his elbows to massage them out each evening, which FREAKING HURTS. Also, looks like I kinked my lower l... read more

  12. RUN
    good C2K5 Week 3 Day 3 2 mi 00:28 14:00 pace

It was a little chilly the first time around, but I warmed up fast when the running started. Could have done without the wind though.

  13. Taking a rest day after literally being on my feet all day at work. Tomorrow is Week 3, Day 3 of my C2K5. Temps supposed to be in the 50s. Off the dreadmill (a la Katie) and into the great outdoors.
