Did the elliptical again to continue babying my shins and I feel great. I changed up the End is Near Zombie Fleeing Badass Running Test to go for distance rather than miles. I ran a half mile straight FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER! It took me 5min33sec. Not half bad for a fatty fatty boombalatty. Plus, this is the second time in a row getting up to 2 miles. I feel like a rockstar. The pounds are coming off too.


GREAT!!!! You can do it!! Getting out there is half the battle and just doing it is the other half. :)

Shin splints suck. Do you have ACE bandages and ice packs? The whole Rest Ice Compression Elevation thing does help. Ultimately I think shin splints are an unfortunate, mandatory part of the process. Like the smell of bodyglide. Blech.

Since I run at work, when I get done I kick my feet up on my computer tower under my desk and put baggies of ice on my shins. So I have the rest, ice, and elevation thing down. I wonder if we have Ace bandages around here in a first aid kit. Thanks John!
