CrossFit is hard! It is also fun. I am exhausted. In this free intro class it was just me and a high school boy. First we learned a few basic moves and what CrossFit is all about. Then we tried some of what our workout would be. That alone felt like the workout to me. But no, the workout was after that. It consisted of 3 sets of the following: 500 m row, 40 m farmers carry (I had 18 lb kettleball in each hand), 12/9/6 of wall balls (I don't know what my ball weighed), hands up (hands free?) pushups (I did them girlie-style) and sit ups with legs in butterfly position (soles of feet together) and nice cushioned back thing on floor. High school boy finished 5-6 minutes before me. I just imagined a whole bunch of 40-something women trailing behind me. LOL. I start Foundations on May 29. That is 6 classes over a 2 week period. Then I will most likely join CrossFit! I aim to find my strong!


Great workout and plan. I bet you will kick butt compared to almost all 40 somethings.

Nice workout, Ellen. I am so excited you are trying CrossFit. I was expecting to see more squats in this workout. Rows are tiring. I guess you did hand release push ups.

Yes, hand release! I couldn't remember the name. Those push ups were the hardest part for me. We did a bunch of squats in the warm up. :)
