  2. RUN
    good Bay 2 Breakers 7.65 mi 01:22 10:41 pace

Another chill Bay 2 Breakers running with DD, DD's coworker Alex and his S.O. Tosca. Very nice folks with whom I'd like to run again. Had a later starting corral this year since we signed... read more

There were TONS of naked people this year. Gah! It was hot, too, so I'm glad I was watching from inside. LOL! Good job!

Nice B2B B2B! I caught the elites and some of the faster folks but headed for the house when the naked guys starting flopping by.

  3. RUN
good Brazen Wildcat Half 13.27 mi 02:59 13:31 pace

Super-fun time with Christina J. and Hugh B., though Hugh finished a good hour+ before C & I. This was definitely the toughest, hilliest trail half I've done ever, and was not trained for ... read more

  4. RUN
good Bayshore Trails 6.13 mi 00:53 08:36 pace

So much better today since it was SO much cooler. This time clouds and breezes helped lots.

  5. RUN
alright "Cooldown" ...NOT! 2.11 mi 00:19 09:01 pace

Told myself that I could chill out a little here, but effort still felt hard (see heart-rate), due to the heat. After the run, I found tons of salt on my face - I barely get saltface, unless I'... read more

  6. RUN
alright Heat Training? 4.01 mi 00:35 08:36 pace

73 degrees but felt warmer. Despite the breezes, and I purposely chose a route that would give me maximum time by the water, soooo hot. Told myself I'd go hard for 4, then chill a little after... read more

definitely heat training! there are some surprising stats on just how much we supposedly slow down (or up effort) for every 5 degrees over 50

Ooof, sounds hard. Running in the heat is no fun at all.

  7. RUN
good GGP Loops 12.9 mi 01:57 09:06 pace

Not a bad run. Inspired by Ismay, tried to do a climb up the Stow Lake Hill but got confused and headed up the steeper, albeit shorter route. Endorphins didn't kick in until 7.88m. Gu and spor... read more

Good to see you pounding out these longer runs. You'll reap some dividends from this one.

  8. RUN
good JFK Jaunt 7.21 mi 01:04 08:51 pace

More foggy, windy running. <3! Had a potty stop and had strange desire to run down and back JFK rather than standard MLK-JFK loop. Otherwise, nothing much to report, except a nice run.

  9. RUN
good GGP East 6.06 mi 00:53 08:45 pace

Amazing how a run gets one warmed up in no time, even with Karl the Fog and heady winds from the west...

  10. RUN
good Back at the Bayshore 6.09 mi 00:53 08:40 pace

Even though I adore the fog, I was glad to be out and running on the Bayshore Trails again. Hotter than I thought it would be; thank goodness for the breezes off the Sloughs. I saw my favourite old... read more

  11. RUN
alright Standard GGP to Great Hwy 10.31 mi 01:34 09:07 pace

What you eat the day before really does matter. Cocktails and tasties from the Alembic's kitchen the night before do not make for good fuel. Warm in GGP and foggier/ cooler by the beach, but s... read more

  12. RUN
good GGP East - the usual 6.24 mi 00:57 09:04 pace

I am a total heat wimp, though there was a great sea breeze and it's always several degrees cooler in this neighbourhood than Mission or SOMA... took it nice and easy. Saw goslings again by St... read more

good GGP East 5.17 mi 00:45 08:39 pace

Standard run, trying to catch DD & Harlow as they made their way through the park.

good Ingress Run Up Moraga Steps 4.25 mi 00:46 10:44 pace

Start-stop Ingress run with the Moraga Stairs and Grand View Park stairs thrown in. Glad that DD and Harlow accompanied. Great day to be out and about and those Moraga steps are beautiful. And the ... read more

    good GGP 10.3 mi 01:33 09:01 pace

  20. RUN
alright GGP East 5.77 mi 00:51 08:50 pace

Nothing much to report except that: (1) it was not as cold as I thought it might be, given the fog; and (2) It's Gosling time by Stow Lake! Also, I'm out of shape. Felt I worked harder th... read more
