      How'd your December marathon go?

      I ran a 3:58 I died at mile 16, ran a 1:50 front half at 2:08 back half. I then ran another full in Feb. and ran a 3:58 again :/ This time with a different strategy and it was working well until mile 23. That time I ran a 1:58 front and 2:00 back so, definitely more evenly paced. I was going for a faster back half and was doing really well until the latst 3 miles. So now I'm stuck. Not sure what to do or where to go from here.

      Long story or short? Haha! Short, sub 4 hours. Long, I'm trying to parallel my after Rebekah training to my beginning training. Both 1st marathons were 4:22/4:18 both in May. Later that year in Nov. I ran a 3:59, so this year in Dec hoping to hit the same time, sub 4. It should be a fairly attainable goal.

      Dec 13th. I have 22 miles this weekend and then will taper. I really study my runs, and read up on theories, look back at data trends, etc....I know, I'm a dork, but really a student of the game. Over the past month I've predicted various race time finishes and they have ranged from 3:26 to 3:48. My BQ is 3:40. We will see what the day brings!!!
