tired "Barefoot" Grass Running 3.01 mi 00:28 09:23 pace

My left foot/ankle has been jacked up ever since I ran in my Adidas a couple weeks ago. When I hit the pavement, it was seriously irritated. I stopped to crack my ankle (or at least try to) before entering the park. It was still bothered, so I opted for the grass alongside the road. It felt good. I mean, really good. My calves were not talking to me one bit. My cardiovascular system on the other hand? Well, that had lots to say. I got a serious workout in that respect. Yet my legs feel like I didn't do anything at all. I was gonna go for 5 but honestly, I was done before I got to 2. So 3 it was. Does this count as trail running?

Nice progressive Christie! Did you run barefoot along side the road?!? You're brave!

Well, as barefoot as I was gonna get. All my runs since being back from injury, except one (that damn Adidas run), have been "barefoot." I'm running in these: http://www.terraplana.com/the-evo. I like them a lot.

I think this counts as trail running! You're really getting a workout but maybe it feels easy because you're getting used to the "barefoot" style. Nice job!

Thanks, Cristy. Hmm, maybe my body is getting used to it? But if I run on grass again, it's gonna be a short run. Gotta build up my endurance for that. Very tiring.

Christie have you tired the Vibram fivefingers barefoot running shoe. I was thinking about it because they are cheaper and I have some running friends that run in them now. The Evo I can not afford and would rather put that much money towards a new Road Bike.

I'm aware of VFFs. I haven't tried them because I don't like the look of them. My cutest clothes are my running gear. They just won't go with my skirts and dresses :)
