great "Barefoot" Running Take 6 3 mi 00:26 08:42 pace

I'm really not sure how this happened because I went into this low on energy. See my previous yoga workout. Maybe I was excited to run in short sleeves while working on getting my tan back. Whatever the case may be, it was a great run.

I started out fast, not too sure why. It just felt good. I spent all of mile 2 trying to slow down because I'm big on negative splits. In the last mile, I tried to hover around 8:30 pace until the last .10mi when I picked up speed. I'm not the one for speed work, but I save the very last of my runs for speed. Fastest pace was 5:49, for a whole half a second :)

    Great Performance:

Try not to question the "how" of it happened. What matters is that it did happen and YOU did it. Nobody else. You're capable of doing a lot, but don't let your mind try and deter you from accomplishing greatness.

Thanks, Cristina. I think the planets were aligned or something because I certainly was not in the mood. But things changed once I got started.

Thanks, y'all. I had a great swim yesterday and a great run today. It's rare to have great workouts 2 days in a row. @Angela, my calves feel like they've worked, but it gets easier every time. I'm no longer scared to increase mileage. I'm confident my calves will remain intact.
