  1. tired"Barefoot" Grass Running 3.01 mi / 00:28 09:23 pace

My left foot/ankle has been jacked up ever since I ran in my Adidas a couple weeks ago. When I hit the pavement, it was seriously irritated. I stopped to crack my ankle (or at least try to) before entering the park. It was still bothered, so I opted fo... read more

Nice progressive Christie! Did you run barefoot along side the road?!? You're brave!

I think that yoga must be building strength! Awesome, Christie!

Cristy, I started going to chisel class a few months ago to make me strength train, since I hate it. It definitely helped to make some poses easier. I used to skip all the upper body work. Now, I'm excited to do it to see improvement.

Day 21 of yoga..I almost forgot to do it. I started my day way late because I had a headache. I didn't want to do anything. I was supposed to run, but it wasn't happening. In any case, I did an advanced routine with some pretzel-like poses. Until now, ... read more

So excited and energized! This was my first advanced routine. Revolved standing poses always makes things interesting. I had done a couple before but was introduced to Revolved Side Angle Pose, http://www.yogajournal.com/poses/876, which is very challe... read more

Thanks, y'all! @Cristy, I get so excited when I can do something challenging. @Michelle, I hate the regular Side Angle Pose. It gets the muscles working (aka burning). Revolved makes it extra special adding a balance act. It's easy to fall over. So glad I didn't :)

  5. greatStability and Grounding 00:40

Day 19 of yoga...lots of seated poses, forward bends and standing poses. My legs are happy. Felt bad for not doing strength today, so I did 50 pushups (5 sets of 10). That's the most I've ever done of non-girlie pushups. I'm excited about my improving ... read more

That is great, Christie! Is this the first time you've done yoga? I'll be starting for the first time next month - I've heard very good things about it.

@George, yoga is beneficial for everybody. We all have muscles that need to be stretched and strengthened. @Michelle, I'm thinking about doing the 100 Pushup Challenge again, non-girlie this time. @ Gina, I've been doing yoga for a bit now. I started over a year ago but never stuck to it. Been doing it more consistently for a few months. It helps to take a class so the teacher can correct you. But I do my practice at home now.

  6. greatPark Stroll 6.02 mi / 01:59 19:41 pace

What a beautiful day! Took a leisurely stroll through the park to soak up the sun. Was gonna do 2 loops but since it was so nice, I did 3.

  7. goodGeneral Practice: Standing 00:40

Chose a routine with standing poses to help loosen up my legs, calves specifically. Two days back to back of "barefoot" running got my calves putting in work. Giving the calves a rest tomorrow.

This was my first time ever walking dogs. Started out with them walking me. But I got the hang of it.

These little dogs were pulling me down the block. I know how to deal with them next time, though.

i used to run a K9 dog during college days for some extra $$. My arms had never had that kind of workout before. Heck, the dog weighed more than me and when it saw a squirrel...guess it needed more K9 training ;)
