    Missed long runs due to wife's illness.struggled with cold the week before. So started slow- paid dividend in the end. Only 30 secs slower in last half vs. First.

    First reasonable distance run after the Marathon. Joints still a little tender. ready to start ramping back up again for the 1/2 M at the end of the Month.

    Race of 2 halves, the first 23 and the last 3. It wasn't pretty, but job done.

      @Emily B mile 8 was a breeze, was glad to be ahead of the 3:30 mob in the narrow roads around the lakes. Lost a shoe there 3 years back due to getting stepped on. Had to fetch it in the flow.

      @jeni - weather was indian summer, good to be back home for a while. But in the last 4 weeks since the marathon I've increased body weight 4%

      @Gavin, the Na Pali trail is the highlight. But boulders and crowds on the trail make it a no go for 'serious' running (without endangering others). This was fair- packed dirt, but as the sign says - not maintained, so adventure race in parts. @ Joel, heat and hills, but pretty - scattered showers and cloud banks as you climbed higher.
