  1. RUN
    Errands 2.1 mi 00:20 09:31 pace

My asthma has been acting up since Sunday night. I figured I'd take the circuitous route to cvs and test out the lungs. Breathing was tough but everything else feels great!

  2. RUN
Ashland to the Back Bay 24 mi 04:25 11:02 pace

A few days ago a coworker asked me if I wanted to join her on this long run from Ashland. I was enthused to have a running buddy but nervous about her slower pace. Once I stopped worrying about my ... read more

This was a great plan to build endurance without aggravating the knee injury. I've done most of the training at a 10 minute pace or slower, and found I could train through some injuries, and even see some improvement while training. I did push the pace on the last two long runs, and it is apparent that the faster pace put much more stress on the body, but took the calculated risk figuring I have all of taper to recover.

Snow? Isn't it almost April? 3.1 mi 00:27 08:47 pace

Snowy run around the Public Garden then ran back by way of the Comm Ave Mall to Hereford and back to the South End. 23 miles along the course tomorrow, yikes!

Met my cousin for this hot vinyasa class. It was fun to catch up and the music was entertaining,"90s middle school dance". Ha!

  5. RUN
    Boston Common 4.4 mi 00:40 09:05 pace

Awesome rainy run, just so glad it's not snow. Did a few hill repeats up by the State House and around the perimeter of the park.

  6. RUN
    Charles River 5.24 mi 00:47 09:01 pace

It was truly a beautiful, calm night along the river. I had a smile the whole time. Those river views are a big reason I love running, and I love living in Boston.

  7. RUN
Windy 12 on the Charles 12 mi 01:54 09:30 pace

The wind was almost unbearable along the river but I needed a change from the marathon route. Lost my breath a few times and definitely seemed to be running in place for much of this run. I'm ... read more

Way to get through that! When I know I have to get the run done, wind or not, I get through it. Otherwise I hate the wind more than anything.

    Snowy Night 4.1 mi 00:38 09:16 pace

Absolutely gorgeous run around the Common and a bit of the Charles. It looks like we've gotten about 1-2 inches so far. This was a great way to end the winter running season.

It seems the training weather out there hasn't been very good. It wasn't a terrible winter here. February was quite cold, but overall we had less snow than normal and the first half of March was warmer than normal. Come marathon day, I'll take cold weather over heat anytime.
