YOGA! Thought about skipping since I knew we were having the same sub as last week. But had finished my swim just in time to make it, and knew I could get in a good stretch before bedtime if I just tuned out her pathetic "I can't do this pose and that pose because I've been teaching since 6:45a and am tired from teaching five classes today" schtick. When S said that I was able to do a toe hold in 'Reclining Buddha' pose (kinda like Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana, but lying down on your side) because of my gangly arms, I nearly said, "No, it's because this is only my first Yoga class today." :P
To her credit, I did learn a new hip-opening stretch. Lie down and do 'Eagle' pose with your legs only, then drop your legs to the side that you've wrapped the other leg with.


Nice to learn something while getting a stretch before bedtime!

@stephen - yes - i agree! yogajournal.com has pretty good pictures and detailed descriptions. but if you're more of a visual learner, this iPhone app with regular pictures, muscular pictures, written descriptions, spoken word and videos is pretty nifty. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/all-in-yoga-300-poses-yoga/id359426393?mt=8
