  1. RUN
    tired 0.8 mi 00:11:00 13:45 pace

Started off w/ 20 min of strength - kettlebells, wall-balls, etc. before the run. Was supposed to do 40 minutes; could only muster 11. Haven't been sleeping well - plus some other stuff - and I nee... read more

  3. FIT
    great 00:30

Mostly upper-body and core work today. Rounds of pushups, situps, pullups (assisted), flutter kicks, and some a few squats and lunges for good measure.

  4. RUN
    great 2.14 mi 00:30 14:01 pace

Was a little distracted by the cute guy on the treadmill next to me, whoops. And left my water at home, so was feeling a bit thirsty. Had to do this one after work, since I slept through my alarm ... read more

  5. RUN
    good 2 mi 00:28 14:00 pace

Kicked up the pace just a wee bit on some of the running intervals. A success!

  6. RUN
    good 2.1 mi 00:31 14:45 pace

The running felt good. Feeling faster today even though I think I have some sort of stomach bug, or ate something weird. A shot of Pepto got me through this, though, thank goodness...

  7. RUN
    good 2 mi 00:30 15:00 pace

First official "training run" for the Pittsburgh Marathon relay. Goal is to run all 6 mi. Taking it easy and following my training plan. Today: 2 min walk, 2 min run for 30 min. Done! :)

  8. RUN
good Frick Park 2 mi 00:30 15:00 pace

Did some easy intervals (90s run/60s walk) just to get back into the game. After the first few minutes, my body was like, "Oh, yeah! I know how to do this!" I'm sweaty like whoa, now, tho... read more

  9. I don't even have time to sleep more than 4.5 hours these days....when am I going to run?? :(

  10. RUN
alright Frick Park 2.5 mi 00:30 12:00 pace

(C25k, W4D1) I did it! I did it even though 4 minutes into it, the heavens opened and unleashed a torrential downpour the likes of which I haven't seen since monsoon season in Asia. After about 30... read more

  11. RUN
good Montour Trail 2.5 mi 00:30 12:00 pace

W3D4 -- morning run with the #potholegang. Tired but wasn't too bad. The rain held off, and Jaci and I saw a deer!

  12. RUN
great Frick Park 1.8 mi 00:27 15:00 pace

W3D3 -- felt great; I kept to the program intervals, but found that I wanted to keep running. This is good, yes?

  13. RUN
great Frick Park 1.7 mi 00:28 16:28 pace

W3D2 (take 2)...I could do this all day long! (Ok, probably not, but you know.)

  14. This week has been crazy...no time. Will do a bit over the weekend, then probably just re-do week 3 next week.

Thanks! (Somehow I just noticed this; oops...) Will definitely keep that in mind for the future! :)

A bunch of us are going Sunday morning at Montour Trail -- you're more than welcome to join!! (Though on second thought, Sunday mornings on birthday weekends are probably not prime time for running...BUT you're more than welcome, if you're up for it!)

  15. RUN
good Frick Park 2 mi 00:35 17:30 pace

C25K, W3D1. I think I missed W2D3 but I'm not too concerned. Today went well -- actually enjoying the longer stretches of running. Knee wasn't sore during run but am feeling it a bit now. Will ice... read more

  16. I've decided that I really prefer running in the AM...after putting in a full day, I'm pretty exhausted. I'll have to keep this in mind for the future.

  17. RUN
alright Frick Park 2 mi 00:30 15:00 pace

C25K, W2D2 -- A really busy week and haven't had time to run. Today kindof felt like I was moving in slow-motion, but I did it. Even though all I really wanted to do was nap.

  18. RUN
good Frick Park 2.1 mi 00:31 14:45 pace

I knew today's run would be a success as soon as I walked out the door...simply because I was doing it. As a girl who used to do anything to avoid running, the fact that I woke up early (!) to run... read more

  19. RUN
    blah Frick Park - Braddock Trail t... 1.8 mi 00:30 16:40 pace

#C25K D3W1 - Awful. Dehydrated & my mind was elsewhere; couldn't focus. Clearly need to drink less beer on nights before running.

  20. RUN
good Frick Park 2 mi 00:30 15:00 pace

A morning run! Day 2 of #C25K. A great start to the day!
