      8 miles is fantastic! I think long runs are about experimenting to find out what works for each individual. I like the gummi snacks, dried fruit or some of the premade run food, but water and/or gatorade-type products are good especially with this heat.

      I agree with Andrea, it is nice to get ideas, but what works for one doesn't usually work for all. I've been using water and Shotblocks. Lately, I've been taking Recovery bar and/or Accelerade after my runs.

    stopped 4x for water fountains & 1x to pick up a mango Odwalla at 1 hr, since I hadn't brought anything with. Worked out great, good run, thank heavens for clouds!
