Wow... What a morning! Just a hint of fall with cool crisp air and a nice blue sky. The greenway, not surprisingly, was PACKED... mostly with iPod-class runners... But one of the bigger crowds that I've seen recently...

Sorry if I offended Joe, but I make no secret about my stance an iPods... If that's what gets you thru the run, then that's great... But I think there is a lot more to be gained by listening to what's around you.

Another iPod runner here, but not all the time. Now if someone ran with an iPAD, that'd be somethign to write about. :D

Used to be an iPod runner also. Till my stride variation screwed with the nike plus distance measure and I realized how distracting the music is to my pacing. To each their own. But my speed did not come till I dropped the tunes. And forget the iPad, I want to see somebody running with a TRS80.

I'm on Team Chaz when it comes to iPod wearing. I think it's important to be mentally engaged in the actual run, and it's the boredom that comes from disengagement that iPods solve.
I do wear an iPod when I'm stuck on a treadmill or stationary bike because I find it so difficult to stay engaged in the workout.
