Chalk this one up in the category "Take Nothing for Granted..."
The usual, uneventful, easy 8... I was about 600 meters from the end, coming downhill, home in sight...
And I tripped... Big time. Not even sure what I tripped on, but it was a monster wipe out. Might have been a shoelace... These new shoes have laces that are too long... So long they sometimes whip my legs... So I'm guessing that's what it was... But it happened so fast I couldn't tellya for sure.
Right elbow probably took the worst of it, but I have raspberries on my right thigh, below my right knee, chunks out of both palms, and miscellaneous scratches elsewhere. Lots of black, blue, and red all over!
I don't think I broke anything, but I suspect I'm gonna be feeling this tomorrow.

Hope it's nothing. So now you've got some good feedback for NB - "the laces are too effing long."

@Caleb Funny you mention that... The first thought thru my head was "Oh shit, did anyone just see me do that?" and the second thought was "Don't forget to tell the New Balance folks about this..."

Uuuuuugh Chaz .... that is awful news. Hope you can shake that off with no nagging soreness. I'm about 10 days from wrapping myself in my "no injury cocoon" leading up to Hopkinton .... It is such a stressful time .... take good care Chaz!

I did the same thing a few months ago (granted I wasn't moving at your clip) but managed to break my nose, dislocate my finger and nearly knock my teeth out. GET NEW LACES you won't trip on.
