Chandra S. new goal: adding mile...

New goal: Adding mileage to build speed. A few years ago I was talking to Danny Kassap, an elite, world class runner currently living in Toronto, about running. I asked if he had any advice for a slowpoke like me. "You want to get faster?" he asked. "You need to add mileage. Don't run faster on less mileage, just run more - a lot more. Speed will come." It was good advice, though I hadn't the discipline to make time for more runs. Now I'm doing so. I hope it makes a difference in my training over the next few weeks as I step up the mileage with 2 X - 3X double days (2 runs in a day) as well as quality (hills, speed) and a longer run midweek.

I'm going to try it too!
