good Bike rides to and from Yonkers 38.5 mi

In an effort to try and simulate a long triathlon (I'm racing 70.3 Pocono's in 2 weeks) I targeted the Yonkers Half Marathon as this race as it is a good long bike ride from my house, and I figured riding to and from would be a great final test/training session!

On the way out, I added 4+ miles to get some extra distance, 21.5 in total. That ride felt great and I still felt pretty fresh at the end. The ride back was really tough, as my legs were spent from the half marathon race, and generally speaking there was a lot more traffic out there on the roads. All the uphills were rough, and especially the one down Broadway in the 190's/180's. Ouch! But slow and steady wins the race and I was happy with the trip home as well.
