good NYC Marathon Tune Up 18 mi 02:55 09:42 pace

Really had a great race. Two big accomplishments: (1) Beat my time from 2 years ago by over 8 minutes, and beat my goal time of 3 hours. (2) Besides the water stops, no walk breaks, including running all hills of the 3rd Central Park loop. Didn't think I'd be able to do that.

Rain was very annoying. Bit hard in first hour, then tapered off a bit, then hard again at end. Shoes and socks waterlogged and also had to wring water out of my shirt much of the race. Hopefully no blisters, but we'll see.

More detailed race report later on my blog: http://430orbust.wordpress.com

Those are two great accomplishments indeed!! Sorry you had to get rained on the whole time, it definitely wears you out, but you pushed through it!

Great Tune Up Scott, beating your goal. We've all definitely graduated in the "running in the rain" category.

Awesome run Scott! Congratulations on your accomplishments! Along the lines of what Philip said, at least we are now all prepared if it rains on November 1st.

Nice run, and great accomplishments! The rain was definitely terrible, but great to hear that you powered through all the hills.
