good Marathon Long Run 4 - with bridges 21.3 mi 03:49 10:44 pace

Last in my series of long runs before the First Light marathon in 3 weeks. This was sort of a repeat of the last long run I did before the Providence Marathon, with a start at Van Cortland Park, except instead of the flat route along the greenway, I instead added a half loop of Central Park (up harlem hill) and the Queensboro and Williamsburg Bridges!

I was lucky enough that @sharonpaige was also planning a run today and lives up near the park. She joined me for the first 8.5 miles, at which point I split off to get to Central Park. Those miles went by fast and then I only had to deal on my own with the last 13.

I won't lie, the 2nd half of the run was really hard. I had a very tough time in the 16-18 mile range and debated whether to stop at the L train at Bedford Ave, a convenient single train stop away from my apartment, which would cut out the last 3 miles of the run and the Williamsburg Bridge. In fact, I did stop with the intent to get in the subway, but changed my mind and soldiered on. Definitely a bit of walking in the late miles, but I'm very happy with my overall pace.

Let the taper begin!
