Great long run today! Will try to write something more lengthy on my blog. In short, very happy with the run. First of two 20 milers in preparation for Rhode Races marathon on May 3. Felt really good. Was dying for a banana before I got to the RFK Bridge, but the 2 bodegas I tried didn't have any. Otherwise, went through 2 waters, 2 Gatorade's and 2 Gu's.

This is the 4th time I've run this route. I had a really hard time with it in October, when I was preparing for NYC Marathon. This time I nailed it, though, and ended with a 17 second PR, which was set last January. Almost 20 minutes faster than the poor October effort. This tells me I'm in really good shape for beating 4:30 in the marathon. Question is can I get down to 4:25, or my PR of 4:22?
