Great long run today! Will try to write something more lengthy on my blog. In short, very happy with the run. First of two 20 milers in preparation for Rhode Races marathon on May 3. Felt really good. Was dying for a banana before I got to the RFK... read more

Busy night, with parent teach conference for Alison (my 14 y/o) and time with Katie (my 8 y/o) to finish her science fair project due tomorrow. Finally got out around 10:15. Chose a loop that was short and hill free. In theory I'm tapering for 20 mi... read more

All I had time for tonight. Better than nothing! Decided no hills so went to greenway. Great ride on west side, 3 miles up and 3 miles back with clear sailing. Unfortunately, 2.5 miles cross town each way to get to west side - lots of stopping at l... read more

Love it! Yeah the 2.5 miles cross town are my least favorite part of running on (or rather, to and from) the Greenway on the west side. I hope that's not why I'm planning on moving to the west side in June... ;)
Nice ride!

Had an amazing run in Central Park tonight. 6 mile full loop plus 4 mile middle loop. Enjoyed the run in Central Park because I didn't have to deal with cars and stop lights - could just set my pace and go.
First loop was conservative and just tried... read more

Scott rode 13 miles goodTo Central Park - full loop – 13 mi
First ride out to Central Park this year. Did the full loop in 22:08. That is the slowest I've ever recorded the loop, but it really was fine. Most efforts are between 20-21 mins, so I'm not far off.
Dry when I started, but misty rain started half ... read more

Really wanted to ride to Central Park, but was a bit chilly and I'd rather go when light out, so maybe in the morning. A little on the windy side, but otherwise perfect for a run.

Last Central Park speed workout of the session, and it was a good one. First a 1.14 mile repeat around the tough harlem hills, and then a 2 mile interval down the east side.

Great time getting out on the bike. With runs Sat and Sun, and speedwork tomorrow, was not going to run today, so bike was the next best option on a beautiful night - still 53 degrees at almost 10:30 pm!

Awesome job on the PR! Given the crowds and the hills, this wasn't the easiest course to PR on, so I'm doubly impressed! Keep up the good work.
