Planned to run outside after work, but lightning started a fire close to my favorite trails in Boulder! Currently my parents are packing their car with all their beloved belongings. The wind has picked up, so it doesn't look good! :(

    Scary stuff! I could see flames on the mountains near my house.... I was planning a Betasso run today but cancelled it, no reason to go up in the mountains when fires are all around. I am sad for our trails :( and for people's houses.

    These fires are heartbreaking, I couldn't turn off the news last night. I'll be thinking about your parents!! My husband's cousin is across I-25 from the fire in the Springs, she's planning to head to Denver tonight because the smoke is so bad....just horrible.

    I was in Estes Park on Saturday a few miles from where that house fire broke out. I just wish we could get a nice steady rain to help out all those weary firefighters. Thinking of your parents and all those affected by these fires.
