Left the house without my Garmin. Genius. No biggie. I know how far to go because I'm doing 7 again. I did 7 last week and was going to start from the same spot. And then there was a mystery c... read more

Oh, And I am pretty certain I saw a cooking spoon on the side of the road. And as cooking I mean used for meth or heroine or something like that. Ahhhhhh. Metherson County.

  4. RUN
    alright 3 mi 00:31 10:14 pace

Nothing special. Just trying to master the hills in my 'hood. They suck. Making progress on the steepest one. I WILL conquer it.

  5. RUN
    great 3.6 mi

    10 minute warmup
    15 minute tempo
    10 minute cool down
Legs are better but I'm slow. Slower than I want to be. Trying to keep my head high and my eye on a sub 2 hour half.

  6. RUN
    tired 3 mi

Keeping it short and sweet. My legs hurt. My time sucked. Now, my ego hurts as much as my legs.

Thanks, John. I'm doing a lot of other exercise to build strength. It's kicking my butt right now. I'm trying not to let it get me down. Just a rough day. Tomorrow will be better.

Who cares about the time today? I heard the roads are terrible today, as I look out my window. Way to get it in, considering the conditions!

  10. RUN
    great 3 mi

Speed work on the plan. Did 10 minutes of warm up. 4x400m with 400m jog/walk in between. I would have ran more but speed work on hills is tougher than I had planned. Got it done though.

  11. RUN
    great 00:30

Day one of half marathon training for hubby. His plan called for a 30 minute run which was a nice recovery for me since my abs are still on fire. He did a great job and didn't curse me! :)

I am curious to try calf compression sleeves... I found on my last two Marathons I had issues with calf cramping at mile 22 in Chicago, mile 24 in Seattle... and thy are a constant worry. I wonder if those would help that..
