You will LOVE this event. I ran the half in 2009 and completed the full (my first) in 2010. Yes, it is hilly, but not tragically so. I had a blast and the scenery is amazing! You will do great!

Anyway, there is a passage in there where the guy says the best race is a race that challenges you! Whether it's a 5k or a marathon! This will be a great challenge and you will feel amazing when you cross the finish line!

It is so true - the joy is in meeting the challenge and there is nothing quite like crossing the finish line! Crossing at 26.2 is going to feel GREAT!

Casey, maybe you can beg Santa for a Garmin for Christmas? :D I love mine a ton. My Mom has one now too and she purposely runs in zigs and zags at times or tries to make funny shapes on her path so she can see them in bright yellow on the computer when she gets home. hee hee :D
