    OMG what a miserable freaking route. Nothing but long slow climbs. Literally the hardest 7K I have ever run. My ass may never forgive me. From now on, drive the route before deciding to run it.

    Did a little more than 1.5 mi - did this to start, then joined a friend for her 2/2 walk/run intervals. It's a nice break. Going to look at doing a ~7k long run Saturday!

    Speedwork day - sprints from 8.0 to 10.5 mph, with walking breaks at 3.5 mph. Did some walking w/inclines to warmup and some light jogging to cool down. I love speedwork.

    Better than my last run - tried for a faster pace tonight and was hoping to go a full 5k/3.1 miles, but my head just wasn't completely in it. Hopefully my long run this weekend goes better.

    New sneakers made SUCH a difference - I was a little leery about breaking them in on my long run, but my legs are thanking me this afternoon! What a great feeling to hit that 4.5 mark!

    Victoria Park/Jacob's Ladder 4.5 km

    Ran from Nubody's on Queen to Victoria Park, then did three sprints up and down Jacob's Ladder, then ran back to the club... my butt hates me.

    Sprint training with the trainer today - 2 minute sprints between 7.0 and 8.5 mph. Wow! So that's what fast really feels like.

    Drizzly and dreary this morning in Digby... and some of those hills really hit my pace. But I got through it. 10K is looking less and less scary!
