Just keep running! The key to all training, whatever the distance, is consistency. Just get out there and run. You can do it! There's some good halfs in Baltimore and November racing is perfect!

Great job Carla. Your thinking is correct. It's funny how the miles don't hurt as much if we just slow down and just get them done.

Way to stick to it Carla. In all seriousness, slow your run down. No heavy breathing for 90% of your runs. Save hard running for the race and just get in the miles for now. The more miles we can do the stronger our running will be when it counts. That means we have to slow down. That means we have to set our ego aside during training. It also means we don't get hurt as much and can keep training.

Thanks Les! You are right- even with all the issues, I was saying- hey 19 more minutes- make it an hour and I have to convince myself- no- only 3 miles today! It just feels soooo slow and I want to get there already. I am so impatient and judging. Thanks for the suggestion, I will keep it in mind from here on!!!
