Haven't had a shitty run like this in a looooong time. I know I should just expect them every once in a while, but yesterday kinda sucked too. Trying to assess why - not only has my diet been poor the last week and a half (training for my new job where they've been feeding us each lunch - today was quesadillas ugh), but I've been over-eating and drinking a good bit. It's also the week before my monthly friend (sorry for tmi). Going to try to get it together so this weekend's race is at least FUN (don't have a time goal, just want to enjoy myself). Blah blah blah.

Eh...next one will be better. You got the cruddy one outta the way, and it doesn't look THAT bad:) And poor food choices sneak up on me too, then all of a sudden, crapfest of a run. When will we learn?!

Visualize a weekend in Vegas with the Jersey Shore cast during the 10 miler this weekend! :-) You've got the crappy run out of the way, now go have some pasta!

You are all set for Saturday! My Tuesday run this week I was thinking my legs were done and I have overtrained a bit lately (for me) and then today - after eating well last night and sleeping well last night - today was surprisingly good - hope the same happens to you for the remainder of the week and you feel better. Glad you are sharing my same goal for the race - just want to enjoy myself and do not care about the time.

Ah! Sorry to hear you had a shitty run!
Missed ya tonight. Didn't stick around for beers or pizza. Went home and had fish tacos (good AND easy AND healthy).

Candace, I just accept these runs. If the pattern repeats, then trying to figure out root cause is necessary. Otherwise I drive myself crazy!!! Nice 3 miler.
