My training plan said today 3 miles with no specific pace. So I went out and just ran. Wanted to do a nice slow recovery but that did not work out that way. I am surprised at the pace. Around .9 miles I got shin splints in the right leg, so I slowed down until they were gone around 1.5 miles. Temperatures was around 55F but felt colder.

Your paces are really picking up! I think you are down almost 2 minutes per mile from when I first "friended" you. Fantastic!

55 degrees is nice....my Saturday run was 25 and icey! Been a great winter for Syracuse NY though....Usually we have literally 5x's as much snow.
