      55 degrees is nice....my Saturday run was 25 and icey! Been a great winter for Syracuse NY though....Usually we have literally 5x's as much snow.

      I have found Galloway run/walk method has helped to increase my overall run times. Try changing it up to a 3/1 interval and see how you do. Great run today!

      @ Kate - You're right. These rotten runs help us to grow and become better runners. I have these shinsplints sometimes too. I start to fast and get shin splints. But usually I get them during the first half mile - not after mile 1. Running slower will get rid of them most of the time.
      @ Genna - It was a good run - looking back. But it did not feel like it when I wrote this right after coming back from the run. Pain and "concrete blocks"-legs are no fun during a run.
