  1. greatTCSD Club Race - Run 3.89 mi / 00:25 06:24 pace

Time for my specialty. Felt pretty good on the run. Again though, like the bike, I did not really get tired but I could not go any faster. This is my hardest running I have done off the bike in a while. Negative split the race with one easy mile, two w... read more

Yes, please keep the cookies for non-camera days. :) Great run and just like I'll someday run a little faster (hopefully) you'll pick up the speed on the other sports. Your smoking runs make up for a lot of it now.

Still amazing that you can do all that and still find that gear for a great ending. I am most impressed.

  2. goodTCSD Club Race - Bike 12.56 mi / 00:34 22.1mph pace

I was comfortable the whole time and never felt tired but I just could not put out any more power. It seems Ironman training is taking a little toll here. All aerobic, no speed. Must fix this.

I'm sure the experience of swimming, biking, and running in race conditions is a great benefit on this last leg of training for the Ironman.

  3. goodTCSD Club Race - Swim 1320 m

I am taking this distance off of my new buddy Chris's Garmin. In typical TCSD fashion, the 800 meter swim turned out to be a bit longer. I was not wearing a watch during the swim so I will have to wait until results are posted before I know. I am guess... read more

  4. good 2400 m / 00:45

First swim from Cove to Shores and back this year. Time and distance approximate because of a couple stops with the group and a meet up on the other side. Easy getting to the Shores because the tide was coming in. Battled a few waves and the tide on th... read more

I didn't see you guys. We just did a short 1/2 mile....it was cold and the current pulling towards birdcrap rock was annoying.

Nothing like 508 ft of total elevation gain on a 5 mile run on a Friday morning, right? RIGHT?

  6. greatDown - Up, Up - Down, Down, U... 5.53 mi / 00:42 07:34 pace

Being that tomorrow is the first triathlon of the season (and my first tri since Vineman back in July), I should have run something a little easier than this. I kept it nice and smooth and never felt labored but ... see my next post for the terrain. :)... read more

  7. I did a little research tonight. I looked back over my run training since Vineman last July. My speed increased significantly between August and November during the marathon training. Since then, my speed has gradually increased a wee little bit but ev... read more

  8. alrightPool Swim 2600 yd / 01:12

I am so glad the swim is the first leg of a triathlon because if I had to swim one length of a pool after 112 miles of riding and running a marathon, I would not make it, much less the 2.4 miles required.

Warm Up - 4x100 (swim, kick, pull, swim)

  10. blahEasy Run - Lake Miramar 6 mi / 00:46 07:35 pace

Ran around Lake Miramar for the first time today. It is really pretty and all, and not to sound like a snob or anything but I was bored out of my mind. It is a 5 mile loop around the lake but the road was closed at the end so I went 3 miles out and tur... read more

I run this route 2-3 times a month, nothing too special about it. It's slightly better than running 5 loops around my neighborhood, but barely. However, if you venture off to the side trails, you'll hit some pretty fun hills. That's what I've done the last couple of times, you should check it out next time!
