  1. RUN
blah Chicago Triathlon 6.2 mi 01:03 10:05 pace

Should have done more brick workouts I guess. Walk/run/complain to neighboring runners about this being the longest 6 miles of my liiiiiiife.. until the finish. I am glad this event is over and I&#... read more

  2. VELO
good Chicago Triathlon 25 mi 01:35 15.8mph pace

I am the worst at the bike. (Also, my pace is faster in my results? If that's an error, I'll take it).

Thanks! I need to work on it for sure. I certainly felt like I had the energy to go faster, but I'm a nervous biker and scared to go fast! Need a straight shot of trail to practice on!

The Skokie Valley Trail is about 10 miles north and south, also some nice stretches on the North Shore trail that heads up to the Botanic Garden.

  3. swim
good Chicago Triathlon 1640 yd 00:31 33:45 pace

    The swim is my jam.

  4. VELO
    good Post Brunch 15 mi

Had brunch in Hyde Park and biked home. I don't know about this triathlon next week.

  5. VELO
good To Hyde Park 16 mi

Biked to Hyde Park as quickly as one can bike on the lakefront path (so.. not quickly at all).

  6. RUN
alright Down Berteau 3 mi 00:29 09:43 pace

I was going to do some trail running while I was in Canada but altitude.. and bears.

  7. RUN
    alright neighborhood loops 2.75 mi

    Little sore.

  8. RUN
    good Lakefront Aquathlon 3.1 mi

Felt fine, but running after swimming is significantly easier than running after biking.

  9. swim
    alright Lake Michigan 1 m 00:38 61155:04 pace

The lake was choppy. I thought the quarter mile buoy was the half mile buoy and I was like 'that doesn't look very far'. Then I found out the mile swim was two laps. Then I ran a 5K.

  10. RUN
tired Home from spin 1.3 mi

Ran home from spin. Feeling nervous about that triathlon..

  11. RUN
    good lakefront 6.4 mi 01:00 09:22 pace

Nice and breezy, but still humid.

  12. RUN
good Neighborhood Loop 3.1 mi 00:30 09:37 pace

Nice and easy on account of I'm getting old and messed up my back a few days ago.

  13. RUN
good River run 5 mi 00:49 09:44 pace

    Ran with Carly N.

  14. RUN
good Along the river 5 mi 00:49 09:43 pace

I waited until 4pm to run, but it turned out to not be so bad because the trail is shaded most of the way. Negative split the shit out of it too.

  15. VELO
good To North Ave and back 12.5 mi

I biked just past the beach, sat and stared at the lake for an hour and then biked home. What is up with those monster dragonflies on the lakefront?
