  1. VELO
good North Branch Trail 16 mi 01:11 13.5mph pace

I am really bad at biking. Nice, shady trail though.

  2. VELO
great Bike, Swim, Bike 11 mi

Haven't been logging workouts here in awhile, but this is for Jeff H. Biked with Carly N. to Ohio Street Beach, did an open water swim (half a mile or so?), biked back. Thoughts: open water ... read more

Welcome back! Are you going to do a tri?

Yes, Chicago Tri in a few weeks. Felt like switching it up since I haven't been too inspired with the distance running lately. I'm doing the sprint so I only have to run a 5k! I'm quite nervous about all the other things though.

  3. FIT

Spin class and then a short run home.

  4. VELO
    good 00:30

Rode around the neighborhood with my parents. Drafted my mom the whole time.

  5. swim
    1500 yd

I guess I should train for this triathlon.

  6. walk
    good 5.5 mi

Started out as a run and turned into a walk. I'm happy about it.

  7. RUN
    3 mi 00:33 11:00 pace

Ran a mile, walked a mile, ran a mile.

  8. RUN
great Flying Pig Half Marathon 13.1 mi 02:22 10:49 pace

Well, that just happened. Really fun course and crowds. Walked most of the 3 mile climb into Eden Park but the descent was real nice!

Not bad for running 26.7% of your yearly mileage to date in this one race!

Ha! No. At one point I was going to switch to the half, but I couldn't get it together. I'll be there cheering!

Probably for the best. If there is one thing worse than running a marathon, it's running one while undertrained.

  11. RUN
    good Lakefront 4 mi 00:57 14:09 pace

    Ran 1.5, walked the rest.

  12. RUN
    Shamrock Shuffle 4.97 mi 00:52 10:32 pace

Personal slowest shuffle, but I wasn't expecting anything else. It was a run/walk/stretch the ITB from mile 1 on. Racing is definitely more fun when you're actually in racing shape!

You should have said hi to me! But I was so angry, so I don't blame you.

You were by me so fast and it looked like you were on a mission. A very annoying mission.

  13. RUN
    2 mi

I'm a little late logging this run from 12 days ago, but I totally ran (/walked) 2 miles 12 days ago.. just so everyone knows. Before that I ran some miles in January. #shamrockshuffle

  14. RUN
    alright 4 mi 00:44 10:54 pace

Part running, part power walking up hills (of the treadmill variety). Much harder than yesterday's straight 4 of running.

  15. RUN
    good 4 mi 00:40 10:06 pace

    I ran.

  16. FIT
    Barre3 00:40

I did a free online Barre3 workout and there is a reason I quit ballet when I was like 6. Lots of core and leg work though!

  17. FIT

    Core and ITB

  18. RUN
    alright 6 mi 01:02 10:20 pace

The temperature was fine. The packed snow on the sidewalks was not amazing.
