Getting some trail miles in preparation for the Half Wit. The mild weather certainly didn't help with temperature acclimation, but the is definitely not a complaint. Had the pleasure of meeting and running with Christine S. from dailymile. Join us again soon :). Jess Miller had the "brilliant" idea of dragging me along for "Horrible Hill" repeats before departing. Then I took the opportunity to spin my legs out for a few extra miles to remind them that not every stride is not a climb.

First run with the Inov-8 f-lite 195s and I must say, they are by far the most comfortable uppers I've ever worn. They are the first shoes that I wasn't in any rush to take off when I finished. The uppers kept my foot locked in but still left plenty of room for my toes to splay. The tread was sticky and provided good grip, but I didn't notice any rock guard/prototection, so I had to be very conscious about picking my line. Being a low-drop, minimal shoe, they are crazy light and flexible. Cushioning was ample enough to provide a delightful ride, but kept me low enough to react quickly to terrain with good ground feel. I guess they're keepers.

Thanks again for a great run and excellent company! I'll definitely be joining you again. Impressive work on the horrible hill repeats - ouch! My legs burn just thinking about repeats on that hill.

The shoes sound great and how nice that you got to meet up with Christine! What a fantastic job you did running a half marathon in prep for a half marathon!
